Ceciia Anastos - Fine art painter

As a self-taught Italian-American painter, Cecilia uses oil or acrylics on canvas, paper, or wood to create landscapes, cityscapes, and figurative compositions. Her artwork extends beyond the canvas, expressing emotions through abstract paintings that tell stories of the relationship between sentient beings and the environment, as well as the joys and struggles of women worldwide.

Cecilia's artistic prowess is not confined to galleries alone; she also enjoys creating commissioned paintings, with one now gracing the San Diego Supreme Court in the office of Hon. Judge Muñoz.

Actively involved in the arts community, Cecilia serves as a Board Member at the San Diego Museum of Art Artist Guild and participates in national and international exhibitions, showcasing her works at prestigious venues such as the San Diego Museum of Art-Artist Guild, Newport Beach Civic Center, and the Museum Maritime of Barcelona.

Her artistic achievements have earned her numerous accolades, including the 2020 Artist of the Future Award, the 2021 Power of Creativity, the 2021 Certificate of Artistic Excellence, and the 2022 Luxembourg Art Prize, among others. Her recognition extends to publications such as SD Voyager Magazine and the San Diego Union Tribune.

Beyond her artistic endeavours, Cecilia Anastos holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Intelligence with a specialization in Middle East Issues, a Graduate Certificate in Cybercrime, and a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Psychology. In 2005, she founded Meta Enterprises, LLC, where she served as Chief Intel Analyst – OSINT, Business/Competitive, Cybercrime, and Instructor until December 2017.

Fluent in five languages, Cecilia is a pioneer in utilizing digitized open-source information for actionable intelligence, and her contributions have impacted the US Navy Special Operation Forces, police departments, academia, and the private sector.

Cecilia's diverse expertise also extends to teaching open-source information collection and analysis (OSINT), structured analytic techniques, social network theory, and IT implementation in intelligence disciplines. She has been an instructor to the US Navy SEALs for 17 years, designing and teaching their first cyber defence and privacy-online courses. In her extensive career, Cecilia has founded companies, a nonprofit organization (True Blue Service Dogs, Inc), and published a nonfiction book titled "After the Walk: The Amazing Places the Mind Goes" in April 2022.

As a Renaissance woman, Cecilia Anastos navigates an eclectic professional and personal life, balancing her roles as a fine art painter, certified professional dog trainer, OSINT/Cyber intelligence analyst, and author. Her multicultural background, extensive travels, and Zen Buddhist philosophy contribute to the richness and depth of her creative and intellectual pursuits.

Aside from her above roles, Cecilia Anastos is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer with over 25 years of experience employing force-free and humane methods (LIMA) in dog training, as well as being an Equine Massage Therapist and Cavaletti Trainer. Her techniques of calmness and infinite patience in her interactions with animals were pioneered at the San Diego Polo Club, breaking new ground in equine care. Cecilia's dedication to creating positive and respectful connections with animals reflects her commitment to a harmonious and joyful coexistence with our four-legged companions.
