Introducing Sven Norris, a full member of the Arts and Culture Network, with an impressive 22 years of experience in the ever-evolving design industry.
I had the pleasure of meeting Sven and you can watch our interviews here. Expect some surprises and anecdotes.
His journey through creativity stared in 2000, weaving through companies and international agencies, including the likes of Leo Burnett, Reuters, and McKinsey & Co.
Sven's expertise spans a diverse range of fields, from 3D visualisation and web development to interaction design and traditional print. His multidimensional skill set is a testament to his adaptability and keen insight into the evolving landscape of the creative industry.
In the realm of higher education, Sven is a seasoned educator with close to two decades of invaluable experience. For an impressive 15 years, he served as a faculty member at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. His unwavering commitment to education saw him contribute significantly to both the School of Art, Design & Media, and the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Throughout his tenure at NTU, Sven crafted and delivered engaging undergraduate courses, leaving an indelible mark on fields such as game design, UI/UX (User Experience/User Interface Design), and front-end web design. His passion for shaping the creative minds of tomorrow is evident in his dedication to providing a holistic education experience.
In late 2014, Sven took a bold step forward, founding Vithereal Pte. Ltd. as an independent design studio. Here, he harnessed his extensive experience as a designer and consultant, focusing on 3D Visualisation, product design, and web design/development. This venture allowed him to offer his expertise to a wider audience and further contribute to the ever-evolving design landscape.
Adding another feather to his cap, from May 2019 to June 2020, Sven Norris took on the prestigious role of the Singapore Chapter President of the VR/AR Association. His leadership and influence during this period underscored his commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology and design.
Sven's journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the intersection of creativity, technology, and education. As a full member of the Arts and Culture Network, Sven continues to be a driving force in shaping the future of design, leaving an indelible mark on the industry and inspiring the next generation of creative minds.
