I'm Crista Cloutier, and my journey in the contemporary art world has been filled to the brim with wonder, amazing experiences, and my fair share of success.

As an artist, writer, speaker, and workshop leader, I've been deeply immersed in the art scene throughout my career, gaining a comprehensive understanding of its inner workings. Recently, 

I had the pleasure of engaging in an interview with our founder Mark where he crafted my perfect fantasy cultural travel year from my answers to 10 questions - it was a delightful experience.

Being recognised as an "Influencer in the Contemporary Art World" by LinkedIn was a great honour. I've had the privilege of selling artwork to galleries, museums, and collectors worldwide, including esteemed institutions like New York’s Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum, among others.

Collaborating with significant contemporary artists has been a highlight of my career. From James Turrell to Carrie Mae Weems, I've worked alongside some of the most influential names in the art world.

In addition to creating art, I'm also fully certified as a fine art appraiser, a role that allows me to wear many hats in the art world. From licensing and writing about the arts to curating exhibitions and even producing award-winning documentaries, I've explored various facets of this vibrant field.

My curated exhibitions have garnered attention and praise from prestigious publications such as Art in America, Huffington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Flash Art. I've also contributed essays and articles to numerous artist and museum catalogs, along with publications like The Guardian and Yale Press.

These days, I divide my time between my homes in London, Provence, and Scottsdale, AZ. As the founder of The Working Artist, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience to empower artists worldwide. Through workshops that have reached global audiences, I equip individuals with the tools they need to navigate the business side of art and turn their creative passions into profitable endeavours.
