Delile Ndumo

Mental Health Author and Poet

I’m Delile Ndumo — a writer using storytelling, poetry, and lived experience to explore mental health and creativity.

I write to understand things properly — not just to explain them. A lot of what I create comes from lived experience, especially navigating bipolar disorder, but I’m less interested in labels and more interested in what that actually feels like day to day.

See my profile here.

My work sits somewhere between poetry and reflection. Sometimes it’s structured, sometimes it’s not, but it always comes from a real place. I try to put language to things that are usually hard to explain, without overcomplicating them.

I’ve shared writing through platforms like Heidi Writer, where I explored how bipolar disorder connects with creativity. For me, creativity isn’t just expression — it’s part of how I process and make sense of things.

Online, I share a mix of writing, thoughts, and moments from life. It’s not overly polished, and it’s not meant to be. I’m more interested in honesty than presentation.

If you’ve ever felt like you understood something internally but couldn’t quite articulate it, that’s the space I’m working in.
