Erika Dittmer

I was born in Stockholm in the 1970´s in a dysfunctional family.

My upbringing has shaped me in numerous ways and although there have been a lot of silver linings - such as my ability to speak English like a native, for instance - the road to healing has been topsy turvy and full of pain. Not a journey I would wish for anyone to experience.

I trained for the stage at Mountview Theatre School in London, a city I called my home for over 11 years. Apart from London I have also lived in NYC, Paris and Estoril, just outside Lisbon.

I currently work as a freelance actress, singer, lecturer and author. My debut as an author came in 2021 with the auto-biography "Butterfly" (Swe: "Kameleontflickan") which can be found on Apple Books.

My most proud production is a bit of a cliché: that I am a mother to two healthy and vibrant girls. I became a mother late in life, my first was born the same year I turned 40, and it´s a gift I treasure more than most.
