Salvino Salvaggio
Orchestra Management Expert
I have 30+ years of management experience in innovation-intensive industries.
I started my career as a university research assistant at the Université de Liège, where I earned my PhD in Social Sciences. During this time, I also co-founded several companies, including an online-offline publishing business and an electricity supplier. This entrepreneurial spirit shaped my approach to business and innovation.
I am now the Chief Operating Officer of ADGS, a cybersecurity company based in Doha. Here, I oversee daily operations, drive growth strategies, and work to expand the company's reach in the industry.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine. As an adjunct professor at Hamad bin Khalifa University, I taught Digital Humanities, bridging my interests in technology and the humanities. I also serve on several boards, contributing to initiatives that promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
I believe life is a series of adventures and learning experiences. My personal motto is, "My perspective sits at the antipode of that conventional BS called self-improvement. As I already crossed the 60 milestone, I can now say without a shadow of a doubt that my life has been a long series of mistakes and failures from which I learned absolutely nothing, but I would do them again ten more times because they were fun." This philosophy keeps me grounded and constantly curious.
Having lived in Qatar for 21 years and now back in Italy, I continue to share my experiences in management, consulting, and my passion for classical music and literature. My journey has been an exhilarating mix of professional challenges and personal growth, and I look forward to what the future holds.
