Emerging Fine Artist & Synaesthesia-Inspired Creative

I am a multidisciplinary artist based between Oxfordshire and Loughborough, currently studying Art and Design before progressing to a Fine Art degree. My work spans painting, photography, poetry, printmaking and mixed media, with a particular focus on synaesthesia, identity, memory and the natural world. Through my practice, I explore how people, places, sounds and emotions can be translated into colour, shape and visual form.

My practice combines painting, photography, poetry, printmaking and mixed media, with a particular interest in perception, identity, memory, emotion and the natural world.

A significant influence on my work is synaesthesia, which shapes the way I experience people, places, sounds and memories. Through this lens, I often perceive people and experiences as combinations of colours, shapes, textures and visual patterns. This has inspired a series of synaesthesia-based portraits that translate personal relationships and emotional connections into abstract visual forms.

Alongside my painting practice, I am passionate about photography and poetry, particularly as ways of documenting and celebrating the natural environment. I enjoy exploring the connections between visual imagery, language, memory and sensory experience, often combining different disciplines to create work that encourages audiences to consider alternative ways of seeing the world.

One of the most important milestones in my artistic journey so far was exhibiting a series of synaesthesia-inspired works at Oundle School's Yarrow Gallery. The exhibition resulted in the sale of ten out of eleven pieces displayed and marked my first significant professional exhibition experience.

As an emerging artist, I am excited to continue developing my practice, exploring new media and collaborating with fellow creatives. Through the Arts and Culture Network, I hope to connect with artists, curators, writers, photographers, cultural organisations and creative professionals who share a passion for creativity, experimentation and meaningful artistic expression.
