Andrew Pounder

Fine Art Photographer

As a fine art photographer based in Northeast England, I capture the striking interplay of light, structure, and landscape, revealing the extraordinary in the everyday. My work spans monochrome, HDR, and fine art photography, exploring both urban and coastal environments with a keen eye for unusual perspectives and emotional depth.

Photography, for me, is an act of discovery, a way to reveal the hidden stories and subtle beauty woven into the fabric of our surroundings. Rooted in the modern scenes of Northeast England and beyond, my work traverses city streets, coastal vistas, and rural landscapes, always searching for that unique angle or fleeting moment that transforms the ordinary into the remarkable.

I am drawn to the interplay of light and structure, whether it’s the bold geometry of a bridge at sunrise, the quiet drama of a monochrome cityscape at night, or the delicate textures of a flower in macro detail. My technical approach, embracing HDR, black and white, and fine art processes, serves to heighten the emotional impact of each image, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and see familiar places anew..

I have published several photography books and online exhibition galleries.
