Anne Plaisance

Visual artist and curator

Hi, I’m Anne Plaisance – French by birth, rebellious by nature, and based just outside Boston. I’m a visual artist, curator, speaker, real estate investor, AI nerd, and unapologetic creative disruptor.

My work lives at the intersection of art, activism, healing, and something I call “intuitive rebellion.” I paint about things we often sweep under the rug—domestic violence, abuse, mental health—but I do it with colour, texture, and a good deal of mischief. I believe in transformation through truth, and art that punches you gently in the soul.

Over the past decade, I’ve shown my work in more than 100 exhibitions across the US, Europe, and Asia. From Badrooms (a raw exploration of child sexual abuse) to Wonder Women Now (a global movement celebrating women’s resilience), I’ve tried to turn trauma into a kind of light. My installations have shown in Boston, London, Paris, Slovakia and Japan, and been featured in outlets like The Boston Globe, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle Decoration.

Oh, and when I’m not elbow-deep in acrylics or installing giant feminist installations, I help people buy beautiful homes as a realtor. A girl’s got to fund her dreams, right?
