Boguslawa Bryska

Landscape painter and visual artist

I’m Boguslawa Bryska, a contemporary visual artist based in Swindon creating expressive landscape paintings inspired by light, memory, emotion, and atmosphere. My work focuses on capturing feeling rather than perfect realism — the emotional weight of a moment rather than just what it looked like.

My artistic practice is built around the idea that light changes everything — not only visually, but emotionally too. I’m interested in the way certain places, colours, textures, or weather conditions stay with people long after the moment has passed. Through painting, I try to hold onto those fleeting feelings and translate them into something physical and shareable.

See my main profile here.

I originally trained in technical graphics, which gave me a strong understanding of structure and composition, but painting became the space where I could work more instinctively and emotionally. Over time, my work naturally developed into expressive landscape and atmospheric abstraction, blending memory, movement, and texture into contemporary fine art pieces that feel calm, reflective, and immersive.

A lot of my inspiration comes from quiet moments people usually overlook — changing skies, distant horizons, silence after rain, blurred memories, or the feeling of standing somewhere familiar without fully understanding why it affects you emotionally. I’m less interested in painting exact locations and more interested in painting emotional atmosphere.

My work has received international attention across Europe and I was honoured in the 14th OPEN International Juried Art Competition. I currently showcase work through platforms including Singulart and Artmajeur while continuing to build collaborative creative projects with people who value emotional storytelling and meaningful visual experiences.
