Ingela Johansson
Art Coach and Contemporary Mixed Media Artist
I’m Ingela Johansson, a contemporary artist creating expressive, mixed-media work that brings emotion, movement, and energy into spaces. I also run workshops helping people reconnect with creativity and find their flow through art.
My work begins long before the paint touches the surface. It usually starts with stillness—meditation, music, or time spent in nature—before shifting into something far more instinctive and physical. I build my pieces through layers, using materials that feel alive: charcoal, ink, torn paper, even coffee stains if they earn their place.
See my main profile here.
I’m interested in creating art that people don’t just look at, but feel. Much of my work explores the different sides of being human—particularly the parts we don’t always show. The raw, the unfinished, the searching, alongside the bold, joyful, and free.
Alongside my studio practice, I work with people through workshops, using creativity as a way to slow down and reconnect. I developed “Zenart” as a way to approach art without pressure, where the process matters more than the outcome.
My background isn’t confined to one discipline. I’ve studied graphic design, art history, and fashion, worked in design leadership, and spent years teaching. All of that feeds into how I create today—less about following rules, more about understanding when to break them.
Ultimately, what I do is simple: I create spaces—on canvas and in life—where people can feel something real.
