Mélodie Xu Yang
Cultural Mediator and Arts Storyteller
I’m Mélodie Xu Yang, an aspiring cultural producer and curator working across international art projects, specialising in exhibitions, programming and cross-cultural collaboration.
My work sits somewhere between organisation and imagination—which, in practice, means I spend a lot of time turning ideas into something people can actually experience.
See my main profile here.
I work across exhibitions, cultural programming and creative projects, often bringing together artists, institutions and collaborators from different parts of the world. A big part of what I do involves navigating cross-cultural perspectives, and finding ways to make those conversations feel natural.
I’m interested in projects that are both thoughtful and functional. It’s important to me that something doesn’t just look good on paper—it has to work in real life, for real audiences. That means thinking about everything from the curatorial concept to logistics, production and how people will actually engage with the work. I am open to opportunities and partnerships for these.
I’ve worked on a range of cultural initiatives, managing exhibitions, coordinating artists and shaping programmes that aim to be accessible without losing depth. I enjoy collaborating and tend to work closely with others to develop ideas that are clear, engaging and well-executed.
More broadly, I’m interested in how art connects to wider social and global issues, and how cultural projects can create space for conversation. At the end of the day, I see my role as helping ideas move—from concept to reality, and from intention to impact.
