I founded Hatch Ideas and Hatch Africa, where we support creative industries and social impact initiatives by helping them build basic business structures.
Based in Worthing, I lead Hatch Ideas and Hatch Africa, where we support creative industries and social impact initiatives by helping them build basic business structures.
My journey began with a desire to help entrepreneurs find their purpose and authenticity. Over the years, I've worked with various government-funded programs across Africa, sharing my experiences and insights.
In 2012, I started Hatch Africa to address the lack of business development and financing options for creative industries on the continent. We provide tailored consultancy and training to help entrepreneurs and pioneers hatch their businesses and projects.
Our research, published by King’s College London in 2020, highlighted the need for better understanding and support for investment processes in the creative sector. This has guided Hatch Africa’s mission to create a dedicated platform for incubation, investment, and impact.
One project I’m particularly proud of is the Adire Lounge in Nigeria, which empowers women and young girls with textile design skills. With our support, they have trained 250 women and expanded their reach to 15 countries.
At Hatch Ideas, our global consultancy and training firm, we help individuals and organisations develop initiatives for cultural change and social impact. Our clients include Arts Council England, BBC London, City University, and many others.
Looking forward, we aim to establish partnerships with incubators worldwide, develop relationships with investors, and lobby for supportive policies. Our goal is to create a thriving environment for creative industries.
I believe in the power of creativity and business working together to drive positive change, and I’m excited about the future possibilities.
