I've been in marketing and business development for over 25 years and have often worked with people and organisations who find themselves in exactly this tricky situation.

In Don Draper's 1950s Madmen days, there were just a few channels they could use to reach their clients' audience. TV, radio, outdoor and print mainly. No digital channels.

It's different today and we are bombarded with options. Many of us try to make an impact in all them and fail to achieve acceptable levels of return in any of them.

So, whether you are an arts and culture freelancer, solo practitioner or consultant, or a medium to large sized organisation in our sector, join me to learn how to focus your resources first where they can have the biggest impact.

You will learn how to choose just one product or service, one small viable audience for that service, and just one channel to use to reach them.

It's both terrifying and liberating, but it works.

As the marketing philosopher Seth Godin teaches us, "Find your smallest viable audience, become the best option for it, and reach them where they spend most of their time."
