Random Speed Networking - It's fun, fast and effective.

The Arts & Culture Network is a growing global community of professionals shaping the future of arts and culture together. we have over 12,500 members on LinkedIn.

At 1pm (GMT) on Thursday  3rd February I'm hosting another one hour of random speed networking including a TAD Talk speed webinar.

We all get to meet 9 or more fellow members and guests, at random, in a series of 1-2-1s and small groups in under an hour, without leaving our desks.

It's fun, fast and effective and we've has some great feedback.

We had over 90 at our December event and over 300 have registered for our January event.

The TAD Talk

The half-time TAD Talk at our random speed networking event on Thursday is by author and consultant Andy Bass. In his new book "Start With What Works", Andy teaches us how to create new growth opportunities using the resources we already have.  His TAD Talk will be a whistle-stop tour through these ideas. So ... the egg ... The advertising legend and Vice-Chairman of Ogilvy, Rory Sutherland wrote the foreword to Andy's book and he tells a salutary tale. "There was a poor young woman in Africa who sold hard boiled eggs to people working on building sites.  She discovered that when she bundled them with a tomato and herb salad from her garden, which cost almost nothing to produce, certainly far less than an egg, what she was selling was no longer just an egg, but lunch.  At that point, she was able to charge more than double the price of an egg for something that cost far less than two eggs to produce.”

We all have existing resources that we don't fully exploit and Andy will help us identify and perhaps combine those to create new opportunities for growth.
