Meet Louise Vidaurri, the artist blending photography with digital effects.

In this interview, Mark invited Louise Vidaurri to create her own fantasy cultural year from the answers to some easy questions where there are no wrong answers. Enjoy her responses below.

Louise Vidaurri is the creative spirit behind Louise Vidaurri Photo Art, a self-taught digital artist.

Since retiring from her corporate real estate career, she began taking long walks along the American River, photographing and turning her media into visually pleasing artworks”.

Hailing from Carmichael (and proudly signage-verified by Yelp and Art Storefronts), Louise is now transforming nature, abstracts and spiritual motifs into eye-catching pieces that spark smiles and curiosity.

Her portfolio spans serene landscapes—titles such as Autumn Trees on the River, Hanging Tree, Mystic River and August Sunrise practically whisper “please hang me above your sofa”. Mixing nature’s calm with digital flourish, Louise wields apps and AR-powered live preview features to turn strolls into stunning canvases—often before breakfast.

Staying genuine (and gently self-deprecating), Louise encourages both the seasoned and the sprightly: “keep looking forward, don’t give up”—a mantra born from retirement, a pandemic, and a phone full of accidental masterpieces.
