Sara Kišević
Fine art gallery professional
I’m Sara Kišević, a multilingual professional with expertise in arts and culture management, art history, and comparative literature. I’m passionate about connecting people with art and am looking to expand into fine art sector more.
My journey in the arts and culture world has been through my academic studies and with hands-on experience. I’ve earned master’s degrees in World Literature and Arts and Culture Management from universities in Bern, Rome, Valencia, and Zagreb, graduating with honours. My academic focus on topics like identity and unbelonging reflects my deep interest in how art and literature shape our understanding of the world.
I’m fluent in English, Italian, and advanced Russian, with intermediate German skills, which helps me engage with diverse audiences and international projects.
Previous roles include editing for Arcadia, co-curating exhibitions such as Visarte Best of 2022, and coordinating events like the Gallery Challenges in Developing Audiences conference in Croatia.
I’ve also been deeply committed to cultural preservation, as shown by my volunteer work with the IIC Croatian Group. Following the 2020 earthquake in Zagreb, I helped document and safeguard the city’s valuable cultural heritage. Earlier in my career, I gained experience as an usher at Gavella Drama Theatre, where I developed my ability to engage with diverse audiences and contribute to creating meaningful cultural experiences.
Currently, I work as a Sales Assistant at Galerie Adrienne Desbiolles in Zurich.
