Christine Blom
Artistic nomad, sculptor, and entrepreneur
Fluent in three languages, I bring my international experience to all of my creative endeavours, merging my skills in event organisation and sculpture to found Bulle d'Art, NomadWallsgallerybkk, and hosting the podcast "Vies de Nomade."
My journey into the world of art began in Brussels in 2006, where I studied figurative sculpture under Annabelle Hyvrier. This experience laid the foundation for my artistic career. In 2008, I moved to Lisbon, where I explored ceramics at the Fine Art University and Helena Abrantes's studio, learning various techniques and showcasing my work.
In 2013, I returned to Paris for a year, working at the Rrose Selavy studio. This period was instrumental in refining my artistic approach. I then moved to Hong Kong in 2015, where I established Momentsinclay, balancing my roles as a sculptor and art consultant. This led to the creation of Bulle d'Art in 2018, a community space where I could focus on my art and organise workshops and exhibitions.
In January 2022, I founded NomadWallsgallerybkk in Bangkok, a continuation of my commitment to fostering artistic expression and community engagement. My podcast, "Vies de Nomade," launched in March 2021, explores the lives of modern nomads, adding another dimension to my creative work.
I have always believed in the power of art to connect people across cultures. In 2023, I organised the “CHOICES: what do you stand for?” exhibition in Bangkok, featuring French and Thai artists. I also facilitated cultural exchange by taking Thai art to Portugal for a summer exhibition.
Throughout my journey, my work has been shaped by the places I've lived and the diverse experiences I've had. My sculptures, known for their vibrant colours and emotional depth, reflect my ongoing exploration and self-discovery as an artist and a nomad.
