Much of my work explores the relationship between technology, culture and human connection. In a world increasingly shaped by digital tools and artificial intelligence, I am interested in how we can preserve and deepen the qualities that make us most human: empathy, creativity, curiosity and meaningful relationships.

I am the author of Connection: How Technology Can Make Us Better Humans, which examines how technology can strengthen rather than diminish our capacity for authentic connection. My writing draws on interests that have accompanied me throughout my life, including literature, philosophy, history, culture and the stories people tell about themselves and the world around them.

Alongside my writing, I work as a portrait photographer. Photography has become one of my favourite ways to explore human presence, identity and beauty. Through projects such as the Alternative DC Portraits Project, I seek to celebrate people whose lives challenge assumptions and reveal the richness and complexity that exists within every community.

Whether through words or images, I am drawn to work that helps people see one another more clearly and connect more deeply. I believe that genuine human connection remains one of our greatest resources, and much of my creative practice is dedicated to exploring how we can nurture it in an age of rapid change.
