Ilaria Albano

Cultural Projects & Event Producer

I am an art curator and cultural project manager working across exhibitions, events, and international cultural projects. I specialise in bringing complex creative ideas into real-world spaces through structured planning and collaboration.

My work sits in the space where ideas become physical experiences—often involving galleries, installations, and large-scale cultural events that require both creativity and precise organisation.

See my main profile here.

I have built my career across Europe, the UK, and the US, working in roles that combine curatorial thinking with production management. Much of my experience comes from balancing artistic intent with the practical realities of timelines, budgets, logistics, and stakeholder coordination.

At Nord Est Congressi, I lead event production processes that involve planning infrastructure, coordinating suppliers, managing installations, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements for international events.

My background in galleries includes working at The Barakat Gallery in London as Assistant Gallery Manager and Deputy Curator, where I was responsible for exhibition development, catalogue management, and supporting audience engagement strategies. I also worked at Charles Beddington Limited, where I focused on maintaining high presentation standards and supporting daily gallery operations.

Earlier in my career, I co-founded MovingLab in Venice, a project focused on experimental exhibition structures and temporary installations, working closely with builders and creative teams to develop non-permanent cultural environments.

I hold an MSc in History of Art, Theory and Display from the University of Edinburgh, alongside studies in philosophy and humanities in Italy and France.

My approach is collaborative, detail-driven, and focused on making cultural projects both operationally sound and creatively meaningful.
