Lorwen Nagle

Psychologist artist

Aside from being a clinical psychologist, I paint abstract art, fine art and landscapes and seascapes

I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a speciality in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I provide online services using the Anxiety Relief Transformation (ART) method where I guide students through a process of self-discovery and self-expression, using evidence-based techniques and creative exercises.

I feed this through my paintings with my recent artwork focusing on the divine act of creation itself. This concept roots back to the Romanticism movement of the early 19th century, and it continues to be a guiding force in my work.

I've been on journey of experimentation of various mediums, styles, and textures to find that personal and unique connection between myself and the natural world. My landscape and seascape paintings are imaginative and lean on the immediacy of the viewer's encounter with the art. These could be considered photographic and abstract. I have enjoyed this abstract world so have created more paintings definately abstract.

I aim to create beautiful pieces that make people take longer than they would musing upon it.
