Meet Dr. Quahana Hendree ThD, FRSA.
Dr. Quahana Hendree, ThD, FRSA, is an accomplished art consultant, theological art historian, and cultural strategist whose interdisciplinary career spans over 25 years and bridges the realms of art, theology, business, and social impact.

Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Hendree is the Founder and Principal of Q. Hendree Art Consulting LLC, where she advises corporate, government, and commercial clients on curating, acquiring, and stewarding art collections that transform spaces into mission-aligned environments rich with cultural and community resonance.
With academic credentials in Business Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Art History, Arts Management, and Theology, Dr. Hendree approaches her work with a unique blend of analytical rigour, spiritual insight, and creative sensitivity.
Her past leadership roles include senior positions at the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Chamber Music Society, where she played a pivotal role in multi-million-dollar campaigns and award-winning education initiatives that linked museums with schools, emerging artists, and underrepresented communities.
In 2019, Dr. Hendree founded Masterpiece Ministries — a faith-based platform dedicated to spiritual formation, biblical mentorship, and cultural preservation.
Through her consultancy and ministry, she advocates for visual literacy, equity, and civic imagination, championing the belief that art and faith together can inspire meaningful societal transformation.
Dr. Hendree’s work exemplifies the values of the Royal Society of Arts, which named her a Fellow (FRSA) in recognition of her innovative contributions to cultural stewardship, education, and creative leadership.
Quahana's Fantasy Cultural Year
In their engaging conversation, Mark Walmsley introduced Dr. Quahana Hendree as a “superpower of kindness,” celebrating her work as an art consultant and cultural leader based in St. Louis. Together, they embarked on a fictional creative journey through an imagined "Fantasy Cultural Year," exploring the transformative role of art in society and personal identity. Watch it here:
Dr. Hendree described her consultancy approach, which includes advising law firms, hospitals, and spas on selecting art that reflects organisational missions and enhances emotional resonance. She recently launched a free eBook for aspiring collectors to demystify the world of art acquisition.
The discussion ventured into the imaginative and aspirational, with Dr. Hendree envisioning a global initiative to place meaningful art in hospitals, boosting well-being and community spirit. Inspired by her faith and her mother’s military memories of Europe, she imagined herself curating such initiatives from a castle café in Austria — latte and Bible in hand.
Their virtual travels included dance performances in Nigeria, fine dining and tennis in France, a digitally immersive El Greco gallery in Frankfurt, and a return to London for Shakespeare at the Globe and opera at Covent Garden. Dr. Hendree shared her favourite film (Now, Voyager), a passion for gospel music (inherited from her mother), and admiration for historical figures like Chief Quanah Parker, whose name inspired her own.
With humour, depth, and heart, the interview highlighted Dr. Hendree’s powerful integration of art, faith, and cultural service — a reminder that imagination and empathy are foundational tools for lasting impact.
