Meet Jenn Koch (Fashion Stylist, Founder of Stylegasm).
Jenn Koch doesn’t just talk style, she lives it. As the founder of Stylegasm, Jenn has built a career helping anyone unleash their it-factor, guiding them to own the spotlight through dynamic, transformative style.
Don’t be fooled—this isn’t your average style consultancy. Jenn is a “Style Dominatrix,” fearlessly helping people embrace their true selves through a blend of bold fashion and deep inner work.
Her approach isn’t just about looking good; it’s about feeling alive, fully aligned, and ready to step into the world with magnetic confidence.
During the interview, Mark fed his fascination about Jenn's career in the discussion about how she started Stylegasm, created a "fantasy cultural year" for Jenn and finished with The This or That game to find unexpected relatable moments.
Her journey to Stylegasm is rooted in a fascinating patchwork of experiences.
Jenn graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University, and soon after, her career path took her to some of fashion’s epicentres.
A stint at the prestigious Paris Fashion Institute, a role at Rick Owens as a Showroom Assistant, and hands-on experience at CRISTOFOLIPRESS shaped her as a stylist with a deep understanding of the industry. She rubbed elbows with top designers, assisted stylists, and worked backstage at Paris Fashion Week, gaining an insider’s look into the world of high fashion.
Her career took a decidedly adventurous turn when she launched Wildflower Fashion in Bali, Indonesia. Jenn wasn’t just designing clothes; she was creating an experience. Her bespoke jumpsuits and bold accessories made a statement, and her fashion soirees became the talk of Bali’s creative circles.
It was here that Jenn’s famed Style Archetype Quiz was born, helping people tap into their unique aesthetic through a process that transcends fashion trends. Style, for Jenn, is about celebrating the authentic you, and she helps her clients embody that ethos with every look.
After Bali, Jenn returned to the States, driven to share her passion and expertise on a larger scale. She launched Stylegasm in 2021, which quickly gained recognition as a transformative styling experience.
Whether she’s working with entrepreneurs, artists, or innovators, Jenn’s mission remains the same: to liberate and empower creative visionaries, guiding them to not only wear their style but embody it.
Jenn has cemented her place as a fearless leader in personal style. From her vibrant colours and eclectic accessories to her refreshing honesty and charm, Jenn Koch is the quintessential Fashion Queen, an icon for anyone seeking to create a style that’s truly their own.
Interview summary
Mark's interview with Jenn offers a vibrant glimpse into their shared love for arts, culture, and fashion, a conversation filled with wit, warmth, and vision.
Jenn shared her vision behind her style consultancy, Stylegasm, which focuses on enhancing personal style while embracing collaboration with artists from a range of creative disciplines. The two discussed their appreciation for originality in the arts and the delicate art of self-promotion, a skill Jenn has mastered. In a symbolic moment, Jenn drew a card from her style oracle deck for Mark. The card she chose was "miracles," a fitting message that underscored the sense of possibility they both shared for the future.
Mark painted a picture of a street-side café in Barcelona, where Jenn imagined herself reading one of her self-published books amidst the splendour of Gaudi’s architecture. In this dreamlike vision, she was fresh from a meeting in a Gaudi building, content and creatively inspired.
In a scenario crafted by Mark, a wealthy family from Barcelona offered Jenn a year-long contract to study the fashion and style of a different country, with the understanding that she would report back to Barcelona. Though initially considering Saudi Arabia, Jenn ultimately chose Japan, drawn by its deep-rooted cultural heritage and unique approach to style. Mark described how, in Tokyo, Jenn would be hosted by a vibrant group of young locals who would immerse her in diverse Japanese experiences.
They conjured a scene in which Jenn could witness a Cambodian dance, a style Jenn admired for its expressive, flowing movements.
The duo planned to try Ethiopian cuisine later that evening, sharing a sense of anticipation for what lay ahead. In a lighter segment, Mark and Jenn speculated about the sports they’d prefer to engage in at the 2028 Olympics.
Jenn expressed interest in virtually stepping into an iconic Art Basel piece and attending a Rihanna concert. Jenn then introduced the idea of a documentary on tea, tying into Japan’s tea culture.
For “Hero Day,” a themed celebration, Jenn imagined meeting her late grandmother, expressing a profound personal desire. She also expressed a wish to meet Nelson Mandela, someone who epitomised resilience and compassion.
They finished with a light-hearted This or That game.
