Meet Jonva Ven.
Jonva Ven is a formidable force in music and media production. He's the Co-Host and Co-Producer at Slice of Canada - radio media broadcasting, synthesising Canadian stories, amplifying voices and flying the flag for Canadian music.
It was great fun creating Jonva's fantasy cultural year from his answers to 10 questions. Playing the This Or That game gives us all an insight into Jonva, his life and work.
Jonva's journey into music production was paved with dedication and scholarly pursuit. Armed with a Masters degree in Music Production and a Bachelor of Science in the same field, both earned at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Jonva honed his craft to perfection.
But education didn't end there.
As a trained mentor through The Mentor Collective and a proud member of The International Singer-Songwriters Association, Jonva remains steadfast in his commitment to nurturing emerging talent and fostering collaborative growth within the artistic community.
Jonva's creative odyssey extends far beyond the confines of traditional broadcasting. With a fervent passion for musical innovation, Jonva is Musical Director at WOMYN IN Three, an existential rock & soul opera that pushes the boundaries of artistic expression, especially in women. This role not only showcases Jonva's musical prowess but also underscores a deep-seated commitment to exploring the profound depths of human emotion through sound and performance.
His influence transcends geographical boundaries as an International Music Producer for InfinitZY8entertainment, LLC. Here, Jonva harnesses a global perspective, blending diverse cultural influences to craft sonic landscapes that captivate audiences worldwide.
