The videos he directs and manages are “Guaranteed to turn heads. Guaranteed to make people feel.”

In our interview, I created Jack's fantasy cultural year from the answers to ten easy questions. Jack chose New Zealand as his starting point. Expect some fun.

Jack's journey in the world of film began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television Production, where he graduated with First Class Honours from Edge Hill University. Jack's professional trajectory includes diverse experiences that have shaped his creative vision. He started as an Assistant Producer at Riverhorse, where he contributed to documentary projects spanning three continents, supported by international agencies like the UN, the EU, and the UK government. His role encompassed various responsibilities, from production coordination to camera work, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to the craft.

Now, he is the Creative and Managing Director at Eight Engines. They offer the following:

Under his leadership, Eight Engines has gained acclaim for its innovative approach to video production, earning accolades such as the Talk of Manchester Award for Best Video Production Agency in 2023. Jack's contributions to the world of film have been recognised with other prestigious awards, including Best Documentary at the Manchester Lift Off Festival and Best Short Documentary at the London Independent Film Awards.

At Eight Engines, Jack's philosophy centres on unlocking the essence of every story to create impactful narratives. With a diverse portfolio encompassing clients such as the BBC, Royal Shakespeare Company, Transport for Greater Manchester, IBM, Specsavers, and NBC Universal, Jack and his team deliver tailor-made solutions that amplify brand messages and achieve tangible results for clients.

Jack Leigh's collaborative spirit extends beyond Eight Engines, as evidenced by his role as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Octagon Theatre Bolton, where he offers guidance to shape the direction of the theatre.
