Meet Robert Rund MBA, CFRE, FRSA
Meet Robert Rund, North Carolina-based Executive Director at CelloBello and a seasoned creative consultant with over two decades of experience in overseeing, managing, and developing strategic visions for non-profits, particularly in arts, performance, and education organisations.
Robert is a full member of The Arts and Culture Network.
I had the greatest pleasure interviewing Robert recently and learned about his arts and culture hot top ten and whether he prefers beaches or mountains. As you can see ... we laughed.
In his role at CelloBello, Robert is entrusted with the responsibility for the financial health and management of the organisation. His portfolio includes day-to-day operations, team management, financial oversight, board relations, resource and business strategy development. Working closely with the Artistic Director, he plays a pivotal role in sustaining high standards of artistic and educational programming.
CelloBello.org, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation, is Robert's brainchild, providing free, accessible world-class lessons, masterclasses, interviews, and live-streamed chats with renowned artist-teachers from various facets of the music profession.
The platform is particularly valuable for both aspiring students and professionals who may face resource constraints. CelloBello also offers a plethora of resources, including articles, information on jobs and competitions, repertoire listings, and additional educational and professional support.
Robert's dedication to nurturing and strengthening the global cello community is evident in CelloBello's mission and vision. His collaborative efforts with internationally renowned cellists and teachers, including luminaries like Yo-Yo Ma, Alisa Weilerstein, and many others, contribute to the platform's success.
Beyond his role at CelloBello, Robert extends his expertise as a consultant to organisations and individuals, specialising in strategic planning, resource development, and marketing. His impressive client list includes prestigious names such as Westminster Choir College of Rider University, IMG Artists Ltd., and Grammy Award-nominated and winning artists like pianist Fred Hersch.
Robert's achievements include procuring engagements at elite performance venues, negotiating record contracts, and facilitating artist management and strategic planning for acclaimed musicians.
With a passion for the arts and a commitment to making music education accessible to all, Robert Rund stands as a driving force behind the success and impact of CelloBello and continues to influence the wellbeing of arts and performance through his innovative consultancy endeavours.
