David Outevsky

Arts organisation manager

Hi, I’m David Outevsky. My career has always been about making things move—whether that’s people on a dance floor, students in a classroom, or ideas in an organisation.

I trained in Anthropology (BA), Dance Science (MSc, Trinity Laban), and Dance Studies (PhD, York University, Toronto), and I’ve also danced competitively at Blackpool, the UK Open, and the International Ballroom Championships.

My interview with Mark is here.

I’ve published research, performed internationally, taught at the University of Calgary, and built my own platform, Outevsky Bespoke Dance Education. But now I’m looking to take my expertise in a new direction: into Arts Organisation Management or Research and Development with international organisations, health and holistic therapy groups, governments, foundations, social media platforms, or even video game companies.

Why me? Because I don’t just know how to dance—I know how to design solutions. I’ve created and optimised 10 methodologies for dancer screening and conditioning, developed pre-season protocols, written syllabi, reviewed research plans, and led 10 collaborations across disciplines. Along the way, I’ve built skills in leadership, cultural policy, problem-solving, relationship-building, holistic health, marketing, and communication.

In short, I’m a movement researcher with a knack for making systems more efficient, organisations more resilient, and people more connected. Let’s build something that moves the world forward.
