Gloria Adebayo FRSA
Writer, actor, journalist, public relations consultant, educator, and cultural thinker.
I am a writer, actor, journalist, public relations consultant, educator, and cultural thinker whose career embodies the power of creativity to illuminate society and to solve its deepest challenges.
My name is Gloria Olaremi Adebayo, and if I had to describe myself in one word, it would be “multifaceted.” I studied Mass Communication and Media Technology, but what I really studied was life—how people communicate, how stories are told, and how culture shapes who we are.

Writing is my first love. In March 2020 I published my debut e-book, Six Straight Curves: A Fresh Narrative of an African Woman’s Glory. That book was born from years of observing my environment and reflecting on the realities of African womanhood. In 2022, I followed with Parenting in Africa, a guide to the joys and struggles of raising children in my culture.
In 2024 I wrote The Good Karma on Medium. I continue to write for my Tata Blog, which shares wellness advice and lifestyle insights based on research and personal experience.
I am also an actor. Back in Nigeria I played roles in dramas, including a character described as “the sophisticated girl who believes in the god of money.” I love acting because it lets me embody society’s stories and reflect them back in a way that makes people think.
As a journalist, I worked at the Nigerian Television Authority, editing and proofreading news. I also reported on the oil and gas sector in a Pan-African project involving colleagues from Senegal. I moved into radio presenting, which became a huge part of my identity. I trained in Basic Presentation in 2013 and went on to host shows like “Stick to the Lyrics with Temi and Gloria” and “Early Morning Tea with Gloria.” Radio gave me the chance to speak directly to people, to make them laugh, think, and feel.
In addition, I work in public relations and branding. I have consulted for numerous clients, helping them shape images, campaigns, and communications that reflect their true essence. For me, branding is as much about beauty as strategy—understanding colours, moods, and how people want to be perceived.
Teaching is also part of me. I have served as a cover supervisor in communications and volunteered as a teaching assistant at Lee Chapel Nursery and Primary School in the UK. I love learning, teaching, and solving problems, and I see education as one of the most powerful ways to contribute to humanity.
In 2025, I joined the Arts and Culture Network and had a wonderful interview with Mark Walmsley, who invited me to imagine a fantasy cultural year. In that conversation, I admitted my love for coffee, my passion for lamb chops, and my admiration for artists like Jhene Aiko, Jacqueline Suari, and Gordon Scott. I envisioned myself traveling to New York, Seville, Switzerland, and Miami to explore art, dance, and culture. More importantly, I dreamed of leading a global research project: traveling the world to study how societies solve problems through arts and culture, producing a book, a documentary, and a TED Talk from that journey.
At my core, I see myself as a creator, a learner, and a problem-solver. I write, act, research, present, and consult not for the sake of titles, but because these are the tools I have to contribute to humanity. My mission is to use art, culture, and communication to make life more meaningful and more connected—for myself, and for others.
