Meet Clarke Jones - Music Producer and Cultural Connector.
Clarke Jones is an American-born music producer and founder of Clarke Jones Records, now based in the town of Swäbisch Gmünd near Heilbronn, in Germany.
In our interview, Clarke shared his fantasy cultural year. Expect surprises, anecdotes, and conversational detours.
Having lived and worked across borders, Clarke has dedicated his career to building an independent and artist-friendly music label that fosters authentic, genre-spanning work.
Since launching the label in 2009, he has supported and released music by emerging artists from around the world—refusing to "sell his soul to the devil," as he put it with a wry smile during our conversation.
A full member of The Arts and Culture Network, Clarke’s most recent project is a new single titled Zombie Town by DJ Donner (Donner = “Thunder” in German), which is now available across all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud. His label has built a niche in developing pop and dance tracks that stand apart, often with cinematic flair.
In our interview, Clarke and I enjoyed a whistle-stop journey through his “fantasy cultural year,” a playful exploration of his tastes and inspirations. From sipping a cold German Pilsner beneath the Eiffel Tower, to flying first-class to New York in search of pop talent, Clarke proved to be a worldly and curious spirit.
He would begin his artist scouting mission in New York, attend a belly dance performance, dine on Wagyu steak, and later teleport to Buenos Aires to watch cricket—yes, cricket! From Venice’s digital Van Gogh gallery to a Matrix marathon in London, his imaginative trip was full of unexpected charm.
When asked whom he’d most like to dine with, Clarke chose Donald Trump—not for controversy, but out of admiration for resilience. A man of convictions and creativity, Clarke’s commitment to music and culture is evident in everything he does.
You can find his work at ClarkeJonesRecords-Music.com and on major platforms under “Clarke Jones Records.”
