Meet Alan Harrison

Nonprofit consultant and bomb-throwing provocateur Alan Harrison
Alan Harrison

Alan Harrison is a Seattle-based writer, father, performer, nonprofit consultant, panelist, speaker, radio host, board member, auctioneer, and full member of The Arts and Culture Network.

I had the pleasure of interviewing the arts and culture portfolio careerist recently and you can watch the video below.

There are anecdotes and surprises galore in his arts and culture hot top ten.

Additionally, he is a weekly blogger for ArtsJournal.com and works as a consultant for the nonprofit arts industry, in which he toiled mercilessly for 30 years.

Alan is also a two-time Jeopardy! champion. Who knew?

Here's our interview, including a fascinating dive into Alan's work and mind, his arts and culture hot top ten, and our This or That game:

.

And here's a short video about Alan's book:

Alan's been called “a visionary who believes that theater changes lives for the better.” Then again, he's also been called a provocateur by several independent, yet nameless readers who don't have the courage to put their names on their comments.

The truth? Probably somewhere in between.

Sorry Alan, I couldn't resist including the 15-year old you:

To contact Alan, you can reach him via email at alan@501c3.guru or visit his website at 501c3.guru.
