Meet Liam Jackson, the graphic designer specifically for creatives.
In the interview, Mark invited Liam Jackson to create his own fantasy cultural year from the answers to some easy questions where there are no wrong answers. Enjoy his response below.
Liam Jackson is an award-winning graphic designer—yes, you read that right, “award-winning”—with a knack for turning bland visuals into something that makes you do a double-take. Based in Southport, Merseyside, Liam runs Liam Jackson Graphics, an independent design studio specialising in bold, strategic logo and brand identity design for the Music, Arts, Culture and Creative sectors.
After eighteen years crafting creative masterpieces (or mild masterpieces—he's modest) in London and Surrey, Liam returned to his hometown to shower Southport with his design wizardry. He works with everyone from emerging talent to established institutions, helping them communicate identity through beautifully simple, yet purposeful design.
His guiding principles? Strategic creativity, clarity, collaboration, innovation, cultural impact and excellence—so effectively he’s basically a one-man artistic UNO card, reversing boring designs into something spectacular.
Clients and collaborators include the likes of ABRSM, NYJO, Fabric London, Independent Society of Musicians, M&C Saatchi, RSL Awards, Sainsbury’s and V Recordings. He’s also been featured by Adobe Live, Logo Geek Podcast, Logo Wave Awards and LogoLounge—if that doesn’t scream “designer who knows their stuff”, what does?
